Indianapolis Indiana Wedding DJ Pricing:

Shopping the Competition

When our prospective Clients call us, the number one concern is price mainly because they aren't aware of all the intangibles that separate the typical DJ verses the high-demand DJ.  We've found that DJs in Central Indiana can range in price between $300 and $1500.

Traits typical of the $300 DJ:

  • Just getting into the business.

  • Inexperience.

  • Low end audio equipment - sometimes a home stereo is used.

  • Low end lighting equipment (if any).

  • Can not produce references.

  • Limited ability to mix music.

  • Unorganized music library - especially if they use CDs or Vinyl.

  • Limited music selection.

  • Has difficulty finding requested music.

  • Limited public speaking skills.

  • Dresses poorly for formal events.

  • Does not use an itinerary.

  • Does not use a written agreement.

  • Does not have backup equipment.

  • No formal training by attending DJ Conventions / Seminars.

Before we describe the traits of a $1,500 DJ, you need to know our pricing falls within the middle of both groups.  We are mid-priced, but we have nearly all the traits of a $1,500 DJ except we do not rely on this business as our only source of income and benefits.

We also do not spend money on advertising, bridal expos, or a business office to help keep our prices within your budget.  We rely only on leads generated from this web site and word-of-mouth referrals.   Again, we have all the traits of a $1,500 DJ except the price tag.  Here are our traits:
