Expectations:
Agreement
You will have the opportunity to reserve us as your DJ company simply by
signing our online contract with a security deposit. This
ensures we will not book another event that conflicts with your date in the
future. The remaining balance is due upon completion of your event.
Planning and Timeline
for those who need some structure to their event in regards to toasts, awards,
special dances, dinner time, last call, etc.
Once you have
chosen us to be your event's entertainment, we will have you fill-in the Online
Event Planning Form and the Online Event Timeline Form.
These online forms will consist of a questionnaire that
will help us customize your event to your specific needs. You can select songs
from our online database, although its not
required.
If you feel there are more details to work out or you would just like to meet
with us to ease your last minute jitters, please call us anytime prior to your
event. If we do not hear from you, we will call you one week before the wedding to confirm all
of the details and make any last minute changes.
Wedding Day
for those who are getting married
The day of your wedding your DJ will arrive at your reception hall about two hours before
the guests arrive and set up our sound and lighting equipment. We will do a sound
and light check to ensure everything is working properly. After everything is in
place, we will change into our formal attire and be ready for your guest's
arrival.
As the guests arrive, during cocktails, and through dinner we can play the music
of your choice. We recommend something upbeat before dinner and then something
softer for dinner (you chose the format).
Acting as
Master of Ceremonies and event coordinator, we will make formal announcements
when you arrive, inform your guests of all special events like the toast, cake
cutting, bouquet and garter toss, and introduce all the special dances. We will
provide you with a cordless microphone so it is easier for the best man to give
a toast at the main table or for any one else to make an announcement. We will
talk to you before each event like the toast, first dance, etc. We always make
sure the photographer and everyone else is ready before we start an event or make
an announcement.
After all the formalities are over, we will get the party started by playing all
of your favorite songs. We have a very large selection of music that will satisfy
any age group. We encourage requests so your guests can come up and select
songs. Don't forget this is your day, all the work is done and it is time to
celebrate!
Music for your Event
DJ Indiana keeps it's music current!
When you DJ as many college parties as we do, we have to know all the new stuff
and have it ready to play.
We monitor the Billboard Top 100 to make sure that we have most, if not all, the
current top hits. We use the OTS DJ software to mix the music of over 13,000
songs with our PCs. But, in case the PC doesn't want to cooperate, all
of our music is backed on a second computer or a backup Dual CD player which can easily be started in 5
minutes or less if the primary computer fails.
We have a fantastic selection of music genres.
Fifties, Sixties, Seventies, Eighties, Nineties, Top 100, Country, Urban, and
Hip Hop. I would estimate that I have 95% of all songs requested regardless of
whether it is a college fraternity or an upscale wedding reception.
Do not feel like you have to choose your play list in advance. It's a very
large list to go through, so if you prefer you can leave it up
to the DJ. We are confident that we can can determine what will work best for
the majority of the crowd. If you want to pick some songs, but not spend a
lot of time going through it, we recommend to look through the Wedding Top 200
or the DJ Indiana list of the Top 2000.
We also subscribe to the Promo-Only CD series which is one of the major
suppliers to radio stations for all different types of music.
Event Completion
About DJ Indiana Overtime policies
Per the signed agreement, we ask that you pick a time that you would like
the party to end and pick a last dance song. In many cases, our clients
aren't sure when they want the party to end, so we always offer a per 1/2 hour
overtime rate. We will never play into the overtime rate without your
approval first,. We typically will ask you 15 minutes in advance on
whether or not you would like us to play longer.
Post Event Online Survey
Totally optional
In order to better ourselves, we encourage you to log back into
DJindiana.com within a week or two and fill out a brief online survey.
Also, if you feel we've done an excellent job, you are most welcome to click the
Refer a Friend link under the Contact / Surveys dropdown menu and send them an
email to refer your friend(s) to us.
